This CPD course is for the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs), Lawyers, Paralegals, law graduates and students.

In this webinar, participants will deepen their understanding of the critical role that case law plays in shaping Canadian immigration policy and practice. We will explore landmark immigration cases, examining their impacts on current laws. Attendees will learn how to effectively research relevant case laws using key legal databases such as CanLII, and gain practical tips for navigating these resources efficiently. The session will also focus on the strategic application of case law findings to support client applications and appeals, underpinned by a strong emphasis on ethical considerations in legal practice. Additionally, there will be opportunities for real-time discussion and a Q&A segment, allowing participants to engage directly with the content and clarify their understanding of key concepts.
